JON OLIVA'S PAIN Drummer Issues European Tour Recap

June 1, 2008

JON OLIVA'S PAIN, the band led by the SAVATAGE mastermind Jon Oliva, has returned home from the first leg of its European tour in support of its new CD, "Global Warning". Drummer Christopher Kinder weighed in with this report:

"A heartfelt thanks to the incredible fans that came out in record numbers to support JON OLIVA'S PAIN on its first leg of our European tours in support of 'Global Warning'. We had some spectacular gigs in Greece, Holland, Germany and Norway. Switzerland at Z7 with PRIMAL FEAR and in Madrid with the SCORPIONS were my personal highlights. There is talk that we may do some more shows together in the near future...awesome!

"It was great to start the tour with the sold-out Karmegeddon Festival in Norway and then on to nearly sold-out shows at many of the remaining venues on the tour. The fans in Greece and in Spain are absolutely insane... What a blast it was! Special thanks to MANTICORA and MASTERSTROKE for a job well done!

"The enthusiasm and support from all the Oliva/JON OLIVA'S PAIN/SAVATAGE fans solidifies our determination to bring you the best live show possible performing JON OLIVA'S PAIN's music as well as a firm dedication to the rich history of the Oliva brothers and SAVATAGE. Your ever-increasing support paves the way for us to expand our touring schedule and to continue to deliver the best we can both live and from the studio.

"More European tour dates will be announced soon and the final itinerary for the first leg of the U.S. tour with CIRCLE II CIRCLE and MANTICORA will be complete in the next few weeks."

"Global Warning" was released in the U.S. on May 6 via Locomotive Records.
